This was our home-away-from-home for the next four days ~ aboard Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas.  We booked a last-minute cruise to the Bahamas ~ which included Nassau, Coco Cay and Key West ~ and got an oceanview room for $129.  I guess that’s the one of the perks of living in Florida ~ we’re close enough to the cruise ports to drive over in a couple of hours.

Today was Father’s Day, so I treated my hubby to a meal at his favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomatoes, and then we headed off across Alligator Alley to the Hard Rock in Hollywood for some video poker.  This is just a photo of the toll booth heading east on I-75.  One of these days, I’d love to get a Sun Pass so we can just zip through without stopping!

Bellagio’s hotel lobby has this incredible glass floral sculpture on the ceiling by Dale Chihuly.  Beautiful.

We stayed at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson ~ about 15-20 minutes from the strip.  What a gorgeous property ~ the rooms are beautiful and the beds are THE MOST comfortable beds ever!  There’s even a Bose radio on the nightstand.  Sweet dreams!

Las Vegas ~ a view of the strip from afar.  This was our first day in Vegas ~ haven’t been there in a year ~ we’re excited!! I took this photo from our room at Green Valley Ranch.  It stretches from Mandalay Bay on the left to the Wynn and Encore properties on the right.

Ready  to roll!  I always save my change for Vegas and this is one year’s worth since we haven’t been there in a year.  I finished rolling the quarters yesterday, so now it’s on to the dime, nickels and pennies.  One tip ~ it helps to divide them up from the start!

We went across the state today to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood ~ just for something to do.  Got home a lot later than we thought, but had a good time playing VP.  I asked our server at the Cafe for some extra coasters because I love to use them at home.  🙂
